2012 OKEMO SKI TRIP
Ludlow, Vermont

At the end of January we were off to Ludlow Vermont with our Clubski 30 friends for a week of skiing at OKEMO. This trip marked the first time that the club had skied this hill. The accommodations were first class with large, spacious, well appointed ski in/out condos and underground parking. We took turns preparing meals and the cuisine was scrumptious. The weather and ski conditions were not the best; however, everyone had an enjoyable week. Genevieve had a few great days and also took in some of the rides that the hill offered. I spent most of the time reading and tying flies for the coming fishing season.

On the return trip we did a lot of shopping. I was able to pick up a heater and sleigh for my ice tent. We stopped at Kittery to buy a few things at the many outlets, Cabela's, the Portland Mall, LL Beans and the Bangor Mall. This time were were stopped and thoroughly searched by our friends at customs. Fortunately we were clean!

Many of the following pictures were taken by my Clubski 30 friends.

CHRISTMAS 2011

We had a tranquil and very enjoyable Christmas. Stephen's friend from Vernon Street, Bob, stayed with us over the Holidays. Fran McKnight and her two international students join us for Christmas dinner. One was from China and the other from Brazil. It was interesting to learn about some of the unique customs of their respective countries.

Carly and her family gave us a very colourful Xmas wreath they had crafted and her dog Daffy enjoyed the company of Zack and Nicko. Stephen was thrilled with his XBOX Kinect from Andrew and Kristie. Jonathan stocked up on fly fishing gear, I got an ice fishing tent that is very comfortable when fishing on cold and windy days. Andrew and Kristie gave Jonathan an underwater camera and Genevieve and I Fitbits. The Fitbit has been referred to as a pedometer on steroids. It has a wireless link to the computer that enables the program to automatically record and graph all your fitness activities. We receive an email each week with our summarized activity report.

As usual, we ate too much and didn't exercise enough.

PORTERS LAKE XMAS PARTY
December 2011

Genevieve has always wanted to have a Christmas Party at the Camp for family and friends. This year her dream has come true and we were able to hold an enjoyable get to gather with an abundance of food and friendly conversation. The Camp was decorated for the yuletide season with a tree and all the trimmings.

We hope that we will be able to hold this gathering for many more years.

STEPHEN'S BIRTHDAY
November 2011

We had another great party for Stephen and his friends. The gang came over from Vernon Street along with our friends, the Fosters. There was lots of food, a great birthday cake and treat bags for everyone. Stephen, as usual, enjoyed getting lots of gifts. Jonathan also has his birthday this month and we had a cake for him as well.

Judging from the smiles, everyone had a good time and can't wait until next year.
