CAMP UPDATE #11

We made our inaugural visit of the year to our Camp on Porters Lake near Digby to open it for the season. The water hook-up didn't present any problems and there was no apparent winter damage. One new addition for this year is a small 5 ton wood splitter. This will be useful for splitting the odd windfall that comes down over the winter season.

The new boathouse is almost complete. The siding looks great and the contractor will be back shortly to finish the stairs, back balcony, eave trough, parging and front step.

Jon and Jessie were down with us. We saw loons, geese and a wood duck leave the nest box that is adjacent to the camp.
