Camp Update # 12 Oct 4 07

Our contracter is back to finish off the upper room of the boat shed. The guys have the insulation in and completed installing most of the sheetrock today (October 4th). They should be able to get at the pine ceiling before end of day tomorrow. The crack filling, trim, varnishing and painting are next on the list. We now plan to have them lay the flooring as well.

The last photos are of the lakeside walk that I am working on. I was able to cut out another 200 or so feet this summer and have about 150 feet of it covered with a layer of sand. On the pervious section, the sand has been overgrown with moss and it is a very pleasant trail to walk on. I hope the new extension will turn out the same: however, the new section is more exposed to direct sunlight and it may not be moist enough for moss to grow.

Flowers from Genevieve's Garden

I decided to take a few photos of some of the remaining flowers in Genevieve's Garden. Unfortunately, most of the flowers are well past their prime. It was fun to be able to capture a few pictures.

Al and Shirley Webb

Al and Shirley Webb, our friends that we met through Club Ski30, spent a leisurely weekend with us at the Camp in Digby. Al is an excellent windsurfer; however, winds were light during the visit and we never got the gear out. Instead, Al and I went for a kayak paddle on the lake. He is interested in getting into kayaking and this was an opportunity for him to try out the Eskia model kayak made by Necky.
