July 28 Barbeque

We held our annual Barbeque again this year for Stephen and all his friends from Vernon St. Everyone had a great time and the weather cooperated. Niko and Zack had an exceptionally good time with all the attention and sneaked treats.

The party has arrived and are settling in.

Genenvieve manning the barbeque. We couldn't keep up with the demand for hot dogs and burgers.

Lunch time!

Another shot of the group.

Niko looks guilty. The evidence on his face suggests that he has sneaked a hot dog with too much mustard. Do you think he shared some with Zack?

July 30, 2008

July has been a busy Month

We have had a lot of visitors to our camp in Digby and more work completed on the boatshed. Jonathan has been down a couple of times with various friends. He has caught both fish, turtles and windsurfed. Barb Graves and Ray Turner, along with their daughter Moya, had a great weekend enjoying windsurfing, kayaking and swimming.

In addition, John and Myrna dropped by for a few days and we explored the unique communities of Weymouth, Digby and Bear River. The weather has been mixed through the month with hot muggy days inter-dispersed with torrential downfalls. From a windsurfing perspective, the conditions have been far from optimal. There is either too much or too little wind.

The new boatshed is finally coming together. For the upstairs quarters to be inhabitable, the next step will be to connect power and water.

Bob Marshall's 1953 Massey Freguson. He has done a lot of work on this tractor and the motor purrs like a kitten. The insert photos were taken by Stephen.

Bob recently purchased an electric trolling motor. It worked so well I had to buy one.

We have two families of Canada Geese on the lake. Unfortunately these 14 guys are frequent visitors and make a major mess on our grass!
