Jon's Photos
Jon spent a few hours last evening getting some shots of the Halifax-Dartmouth and Lawrencetown areas. Here are some examples.
He uses a special technique that employs a series of combined shots. Considering that the Image Sensor of a digital camera has limits to it's tonal and contrast range, this technique can be considered a 'trick' approach. It enables much broader ranges to be captured than is possible from using a single image.
It is interesting to note that these images were taken after sunset with very low light conditions, heavy cloud cover and no flash. This technique produces a very unique picture.
The images were taken with a Nikon D200.
