A Suprise Visitor

We had a very pleasant surprise when we returned home this morning. A large male Ringneck Pheasant was in the backyard eating under the bird feeder. I got a good look at him from several different windows. The bird behaved as if he saw me;however, he just kept on eating and didn’t appear to be afraid. When I went outside to get a picture he immediatedly flew away.

Had a quick trip to Digby today (November 4, 2006) to take down another load of siding. The basement studs are up. The contractor has the roof trusses, floor joists and the T&G siding on site ready to go for Monday. If the weather holds I anticipate that with a bit of luck the roof trusses may be in place by the end of next week. I also anticipate that the backfilling will be done next weekend.
